Healthy Banana Waffles

I’ve been eating these waffles every morning for the past two weeks! I absolutely love this recipe, and I think you will too! The combination with homemade whipped cream (no sugar), orange zest, and maple syrup makes these waffles even more marvelous! Why not wake up and start your day off with something delectable, and on the healthier side too!

Total time: 10-15 minutes Serving: 3 small waffles Difficulty: Easy GF


  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1 mashed ripe banana
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp baking powder
  • dash of cinnamon
  • dash of nutmeg


  1. Heat waffle iron on medium and grease with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together mashed banana, egg and vanilla. Add in the rest of the ingredients.
  3. To get three small waffles, pour about 1/4 cup in waffle iron, bake for 1-2 minutes or until desired crispiness! Serve with real maple syrup, whipped cream*, orange zest, or your favorite toppings! Enjoy!

Recipes notes:

*I love my waffles crispy and crunchy- I usually leave them in the waffle iron for over 4-5 minutes!

*To make homemade whip cream- pour heavy cream in a electric mixer bowl and whip for 4-5 minutes, until cream has thickened and is fluffy!
